How the team works on a typical care home install
For every care home install we deliver, a four-person core team is assigned: Donovan or the Engineering Lead as project sponsor; the Care Sector PM as your day-to-day contact; an on-site Lead Engineer (MCS + NICEIC-qualified); and a Commercial Director input on funding-route structuring. The Procurement & Operations team manages DNO coordination and supply chain centrally across all live programmes.
Total team capacity at any one time: 6–12 live install programmes. We deliberately cap programme load to maintain the quality bar — every install gets senior-engineer review at design, mobilisation, and commissioning.
Accreditations the team holds
Every project lead is MCS commercial certified (MIS 3002). NICEIC-approved contractor membership at company level. RECC + TrustMark membership. ISO 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environment), 45001 (Health & Safety). All install personnel hold Enhanced DBS clearance with relevant Barred Lists. The Engineering Lead holds CEng (Chartered Engineer) status with MIET (Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology).
The honest no — when we won't quote
We turn down quote requests in two specific situations. First, where the desk-based feasibility shows the site genuinely doesn't suit solar (wrong orientation, severe shading, listed-building constraints that make permitted development impossible). Second, where the operator's commercial position can't support the install — typically operators with current CQC enforcement action, or homes with closure plans within 5 years. We'd rather tell you so before you've paid for a survey than after.
